Caleb Chadfield completes CPL (H) – November 2014
Congratulations to Caleb Chadfield for passing his commercial skills test. The skills test is the last hurdle in the long but satisfying journey to becoming a fully qualified commercial helicopter pilot. Well done Caleb, good luck in your future flying!
The commercial flying course is 35 flight hours long but the journey to becoming a commercial pilot starts well beforehand. Caleb like all aspiring pilots had to complete a total of 155 hours flight experience of which 50 hours must have been completed as pilot in command or PIC for those familiar with aviation jargon. As well as the required flight experience there are at least 13 commercial theory exams to complete. Once all these boxes were ticked Caleb was able to start the flying course with in-house CPL instructor/ managing director Paul Andrews.
Caleb rose to the occasion on the day of the test, demonstrating his abilities to examiner Mike Green. With the skills test completed Caleb can now work as a commercial helicopter pilot anywhere in Europe.
