Congratulations to Tom Arkle on completing his PPL (H) – August 2014
Tom Arkle pictured here with company boss and PPL flight instructor Paul Andrews after completing his PPL Skills Test. Well done Tom great effort.
Tom Arkle completed his flight training at our Blackbushe branch with instructors Robert Foster and Ian Smith. Tom progressed quickly through the initial handling exercises and was soon completing his required 10 hours solo flight time. After completing the solo cross country flight it was time to put the final pieces together with some intense pre skills test lessons. The PPL final practical examination tests the pilots on many aspects of flying including planning, navigation and general handling exercises. Tom showed examiner and company boss, Paul Andrews, that he was a safe and competent pilot and passed the skills test with no issues.
Tom can now hire the helicopters for his own pleasure, taking up friends and family with him to share his passion for the skies. Many PPL graduates move on to add additional type ratings on to their licence which includes a type rating skills test, so perhaps more success stories are in store for Tom shortly. Well done Tom keep up the great flying.
