John Verkroost pictured below (2nd from the right) just after passing his private pilot’s licence skills test with examiner and company managing director Paul Andrews. John has been training towards the PPL (H) licence at Blackbushe Airport on a conversion course from a PPL (A) licence. The PPL skills test is the final hurdle in the course and required John to demonstrate a variety of skills to prove his capability and safety as a pilot.
John, after passing the skills test, can now start taking family and friends up with him to share his passion for flying. The European private pilot’s licence will allow John to fly all over the continent. It’s fairly common to see fixed wing PPL pilots converting to the rotary PPL licence, as helicopter pilots we like to think it’s because helicopters are more exciting. Well done John great work!
