Price List 2011
The main cost of completing your course will be the flying training. Our rates include all the costs of running the helicopter. Helicopters are by no means cheap to operate and the pilot instructors are highly qualified and experienced people. This is obviously reflected in the hourly rates quoted; however remember that the flying training costs shown do include a two hour lesson with only the flight time chargeable and all the briefing time and the ground school tuition for the flying lesson. We do our best to stay competitive but feel our costs are a true reflection of the service we provide. We offer a variety of packages to suit your individual needs.

Lesson Plans and Costs
The structure of each flying lesson is based on a two hour lesson with one hours flying. We only charge on the flying element so your lessons will includes additional ground instruction related to the lesson. Normally for each hour of flying an hour of ground instruction is included. Each sortie is subject to a landing fee at the aerodrome however we don't have circuit costs at Goodwood so one lesson will only have one charge. We encourage students to book their own lessons through our online booking system. This system runs up to three months in advance so if you wanted a regular time each week this would not be a problem. You can book as much as you want depending how fast you wanted to do the courses and have up to three lesson plans per day. We have three main payment plans:
PAY AS YOU FLY
Simply pay at the end of each lesson for the total flying hours.
BULK HOURS 10 IN ADVANCE
Pay for lessons in advance, this guarantee’s the price of your next ten hours.
FULL FLYING COURSE IN ADVANCE
This includes 45 hours of flight training and 45 hours of ground instruction and 7 attempts at the ground exams
Often student come with more questions than answers so we have developed an intro course of five hours based on the 45 hours rate.
INTRO COURSE
First five hours introduction course after which you can decide if you want to go on bulk in advance or simply Pay as you Fly
Payment Methods
We can accept Debit Cards, Credit Cards or Cash at the end of each Pay as you Fly Lesson. For lessons paid in advance we can accept Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Cheques, Cash or BACS payments. Unfortunately we don't accept American Express or Diners Club Cards. All Credit cards will carry a 2.5% surcharge passed on from the Banks.
VAT
VAT is charged at standard rate for all courses and additions. For students going through for CPL this may be claimable back and we can help you with that.
Standard Training Conditions
Whichever scheme you decide on, should there be the need for additional hours then these hourly prices will be based on the scheme chosen. We reserve the right to increase prices but will guarantee to hold all prices of courses paid for in advance. All prices are subject to normal V.A.T requirements. In the event of extraordinary fuel price increases we reserve the right to apply a surcharge no greater than our increase and on all courses on a per hour basis. Once entering a scheme the price quoted shall be for the entire scheme. Should the scheme be ended by yourself we reserve the right to back date invoices to the Standard Training Rate. We shall try in all cases to operate as fair an invoicing system as possible relating to our direct costs. An additional 2.5 % is added for Credit Card payments. A missed lesson fee may be applied for all lessons missed or late cancellation (24 hours prior to your lesson). This is to cover the instructor’s time and is set at £75.00.
